on Bleach

meet Ichigo Kurosaki...
a 15-year-old Japanese high school student with natural orange hair.

tough as steel, Ichigo always has his eyebrow furrowed and his lips in a scowl... but actually, he's as kind as they come and will go through anything for a family member or friend.

a gifted young man, Ichigo (whose name actually means "strawberry" in Japanese) has a tremendous amount of spiritual power in him and this allows him to see beings from the spiritual world.

this power also changed his life forever after his encounter with a Shinigami (Death God), as he becomes a Shinigami himself.

Rukia Kuchiki,an unseated Shinigami from Soul Society's (corresponds to the spiritual world or heaven) 13th Division, was drained of her Death God powers when she sought Ichigo's help during a battle with a Hollow (evil spirit).

being badly wounded, she takes the desperate measure of lending half of her powers to Ichigo. however, Ichigo fully absorbs Rukia's powers; add to that, Ichigo's own spiritual powers (or "reiatsu") being tapped into, resulting in an unprecedented, above-average, human, Shinigami.
as evidence, Ichigo wields a big-ass Zanpakutou ("Soul Slayer") which is a Shinigami's standard weapon; often resembling a Japanese katana or samurai sword, the size/form of a Death God's Zanpakutou corresponds to the amount of Reiatsu its wielder has.

together, Ichigo and Rukia stop evil dead on its tracks, no pun intended. they come face to face with numerous adversaries, with each opponent stronger than the last.

this is their story... the ancient battle of good and evil, or is it more complicated than that? to find out, watch Bleach... another rocking anime series that ought'a pump yer imagination and teach you a thing or two about life's basic philosophies along the way.
